Owner, Co-Founder
Osviel “Ozzie” Cabrera is a Co-Founder and Board Member of BIC Electric LLC. A licensed Professional Engineer and Electrical Contractor with more than 29 years of experience in the electrical utility industry, Ozzie brings deep technical and operational expertise across substation construction, protection and control, commissioning, project management, and field operations. Since founding BIC with Alex Prado in 2015, he has helped build the company into a trusted partner for major utility clients. Prior to BIC, Ozzie spent over a decade with Florida Power & Light, holding roles in protection and control engineering, construction leadership, and substation management. Throughout his career, he has led field teams, supported complex infrastructure projects, and trained and mentored engineers, technicians, and operational leaders. As an owner and board member, Ozzie serves as a strategic advisor to BIC’s leadership team, bringing firsthand knowledge of the company’s technical operations, field execution model, and utility relationships while supporting disciplined growth, technical excellence, reliable execution, and the entrepreneurial judgment that shaped the business from its early stages onward.

Owner, Co-Founder
Alexei “Alex” Prado is the Co-Founder and Board member of BIC Electric LLC. An accomplished Electrical Engineer with more than 30 years of experience in the electric utility industry, Alex has built his career leading complex protection and control, testing, commissioning, substation, power generation, transmission, and distribution projects. Since co-founding BIC Electric, he has helped drive the company’s field execution, technical standards, and customer-service approach across utility and infrastructure projects. Prior to BIC, Alex held senior engineering, field services, commissioning, supervisory, and technical management roles supporting clients including Florida Power & Light, LADWP, Siemens, General Electric, ABB, Areva, and other major utility and power-sector organizations across the United States, Central and South America, and international markets. A graduate of the University of Havana with an accredited BSEE in the United States, Alex combines deep technical expertise in protective relays, SCADA, Smart Grid systems, commissioning, and substation controls with hands-on leadership, practical problem-solving, and a strong commitment to safe, reliable, and cost-effective execution.

Chief Financial Officer
Boyan Mintchev serves as Chief Financial Officer of BIC Electric, where he leads the company’s next phase of growth, operational performance, and organizational development. He brings more than 25 years of financial, operating, restructuring, and entrepreneurial experience across privately held, family-owned, and international businesses.
At BIC, Boyan is focused on professionalizing operations, strengthening project execution, improving management systems, supporting the founders, and building a scalable platform for disciplined growth. His leadership approach combines strategic planning, cash discipline, operational accountability, and customer-focused execution while preserving BIC’s technical credibility, safety culture, and field-driven service model. Before joining BIC, Boyan held senior executive and advisory roles across transportation, logistics, insurance, hospitality, financial services, and corporate advisory. His experience includes performance improvement, ERP and systems implementation, turnaround execution, M&A, restructuring, capital raising, banking relations, and strategic growth initiatives.
Boyan holds an MBA in Finance from Florida International University and has completed Levels I and II of the Chartered Financial Analyst program.

& Organizational DevelopmentBarbara Medina serves as Vice President of Human Resources & Organizational Development at BIC Electric, where she supports the company’s continued growth through talent strategy, workforce planning, leadership development, and scalable HR infrastructure. She brings more than 20 years of experience helping entrepreneurial, growth-stage, and established organizations strengthen people systems, improve team performance, and align organizational practices with business objectives.
Barbara’s background includes HR advisory, executive search, workforce strategy, business operations, onboarding, performance management, change management, and process improvement. She has worked with business owners and executive teams across construction, infrastructure, engineering, utility, energy, professional services, and entrepreneurial environments.
At BIC, Barbara focuses on professionalizing recruiting, onboarding, manager development, role clarity, accountability, and employee experience while preserving the company’s entrepreneurial culture and field-driven execution model. Her practical, business-first approach helps connect people, process, and leadership practices to BIC’s operational and financial goals.

Project Management Director
Violet Sawukaytis is the Director of Project Management Office with over 25 years of experience leading enterprise portfolios and large-scale programs across data centers, energy, utilities, engineering, and manufacturing. Violet brings a practical, results-focused approach to delivering complex initiatives, grounded in strong governance, clear execution, and collaboration across teams. Violet is known for driving predictable delivery, improving cost performance, and managing risk across global, multi-site programs. By blending strategic PMO leadership with hands-on execution, Violet keeps teams aligned to business goals while building strong partnerships and scalable frameworks that improve transparency, efficiency, and accountability.

Accounting Manager
Jackie Orta serves as Accounting Manager at BIC Electric, supporting accounting operations, financial reporting, tax compliance, and month-end close discipline for a project-driven utility services business. She brings experience across public accounting, tax advisory, construction-industry accounting, accounts receivable, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, sales and use tax, payroll support, and client reporting.
Before joining BIC, Jackie worked with H&CO Global Advisors, E.F. Alvarez & Company, Carlos Martinez & Associates, and Home Gas Corporation, where she supported individual and business tax filings, fixed asset reviews, workpaper preparation, WIP schedules, bookkeeping, collections, and accounting process support. At BIC, Jackie helps strengthen accounting workflows, documentation, reconciliations, and reporting inputs that support stronger financial controls, management visibility, and scalable finance infrastructure.
Jackie holds a Master of Accounting from St. Thomas University and a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance from the University of Havana. She is an Enrolled Agent with the Internal Revenue Service and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Sr. Operations Manager, P&C
Oscar Santana is an accomplished Electrical Engineer and Sr. Operations Manager, P&C with more than 25 years of experience in power systems, electrical testing, commissioning, and project management. He has led multidisciplinary field engineering teams and delivered complex utility, renewable energy, high-voltage, and industrial projects across the United States and international markets.
Oscar’s technical expertise includes protection and control systems, substation commissioning, relay testing, SCADA integration, IEC 61850 communications, FAT and SAT execution, arc-flash mitigation, project estimating, workforce planning, and operational strategy. At BIC Electric, he supports national field operations with a focus on safety, quality, regulatory compliance, efficient resource utilization, and successful project delivery.
Known for his technical leadership and commitment to developing high-performing teams, Oscar combines deep field experience with a practical, results-driven approach to solving complex engineering and operational challenges.

Operations Manager, Substation Construction
Roberto Ramos serves as Operations Manager, Substation Construction at BIC Electric, where he supports substation construction, maintenance, storm response, transformer assembly, testing, and field execution across utility projects. He brings extensive experience in power utility electrical systems, including new construction, equipment troubleshooting, emergency restoration, and high-pressure field operations.
Before joining BIC, Roberto spent more than a decade with Duke Energy, progressing from substation construction apprentice to journeyman electrician. His technical experience includes substation and switchyard construction, steel structures, bus systems, conduit, grounding, transformer testing, breaker testing, switchgear, disconnects, regulators, battery banks, mobile substations, and equipment commissioning.
At BIC, Roberto helps oversee field activity with a focus on safety, quality, reliability, customer relationships, and efficient project delivery. He is also involved in training personnel, supporting business development opportunities, and reinforcing BIC’s field standards across active project environments. Roberto is a Florida Certified Unlimited Electrical Contractor, IBEW Journeyman Substation graduate, CDL holder, and OSHA 30-Hour certified.

Operations Manager, P&C
Servando Martinez serves as Operations Manager, P&C at BIC Electric, bringing more than 20 years of protection and control experience across installation, commissioning, servicing, testing, and troubleshooting of complex utility power systems. His background includes work with major U.S. utilities including FPL/NextEra, Duke Energy, Southern California Edison, National Grid, American Electric Power,
and Entergy Arkansas.At BIC, Servando supports project execution across high-voltage and extra-high-voltage environments, with hands-on experience from 13.8kV through 765kV systems. His project background includes substation commissioning, RTU and line panel replacements, SCADA checkout, end-to-end testing, IEC 61850 integration, breaker replacements, transformer and line additions, and NERC maintenance across renewable energy sites.
Servando is known for combining deep technical field knowledge with disciplined execution, safety awareness, practical leadership, and strong customer-facing field judgment across demanding utility environments. He holds OSHA 30-Hour, CPR/AED and First Aid, PowerSafe, Duke Energy clearance, and NASA Green Zone authorization credentials, and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Operations Manager, Fiber Services
Julio Garcia is BIC Electric’s Operations Manager, Fiber Services, responsible for supporting the safe, organized, and efficient execution of fiber optic work across utility and substation environments. He brings practical field leadership experience in fiber crew supervision, manpower planning, scheduling, materials coordination, tooling, project priorities, and customer-facing field communication.
Julio has been with BIC since 2021, serving in protection and control, lead fiber optic technician, and fiber operations management roles. His background includes fiber optic installation, cable preparation, splicing, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and project closeout support.
At BIC, Julio helps translate project requirements into daily field execution by coordinating crews, resolving field issues, reinforcing quality standards, and maintaining safe, productive work environments. His operating style is hands-on, practical, and execution-focused, with strong awareness of schedule, safety, service quality, and team accountability across utility project sites. Julio holds CFOT certification from the Fiber Optic Association, OSHA 30-Hour training, and Kantech Security System certification. He is bilingual in Spanish and English.

Operations Manager, P&C
Yamill Ruiz serves as Operations Manager, P&C at BIC Electric, bringing more than ten years of electrical engineering, field services, testing, and power systems experience. He supports complex testing operations, guides project teams, and helps maintain BIC’s standards for safety, compliance, technical quality, and reliable project delivery.
Yamill’s background includes extensive work across low-, medium-, high-, and extra-high-voltage substation environments. His project experience includes 500kV line terminal additions, switch and bus upgrades, lightning shielding optimization, 230kV and 115kV substation expansions, greenfield switchyards, distribution substation upgrades, and grounding, lightning shielding, and facility ratings studies for major utility customers including Florida Power & Light, NextEra, Duke Energy, Entergy, Xcel Energy, Ameren, and Pacific Gas & Electric.
Before BIC, Yamill held engineering roles with Power Grid Engineering, Powerserve Technologies, and the Electric Utility of Havana. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering, OSHA 30-Hour training, AMETEK Power Instruments training, and CPR/AED and Basic First Aid certification, and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

HR Generalist
Giovanna Gazzia serves as Human Resources Generalist at BIC Electric, where she manages core HR processes across full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, payroll coordination, compliance, and personnel-record administration. She also supports HRIS accuracy, confidential documentation, policy implementation, and cross-functional process improvements. Giovanna has been with BIC since 2021, initially serving as Office Manager with responsibility for daily office operations, facilities coordination, vendor relationships, and administrative processes before transitioning into human resources.
Earlier in her career, she worked with Integrated Home Care Services as an Assistant Recruiter and Receptionist, coordinating interviews, applicant documentation, schedules, communications, and front-office activities. Her experience combines human resources administration, recruiting, operational support, and client-facing service within fast-paced organizations. She brings disciplined follow-through, strong attention to detail, and experience supporting multiple departments. Giovanna is proficient in ADP TotalSource, Regis HR Group, CoAdQuantum, HRIS and applicant-tracking systems, Microsoft Office, and Excel. She earned a Business Specialist–General Business Certificate from Miami Dade College and is fluent in English and Spanish.
