BIC Electric LLC is a Florida limited liability company founded in 2015 by Osviel “Ozzie” Cabrera and Alexei “Alex” Prado, two experienced electrical utility professionals with deep backgrounds in substation engineering, protection and control, field operations, testing, commissioning, and power delivery infrastructure. The company became fully operational in 2018 and was built around a clear purpose: to provide utilities and infrastructure clients with safe, reliable, technically sound field services backed by practical engineering judgment and hands-on execution experience. Drawing on the founders’ combined experience across Florida Power & Light, power generation, transmission and distribution systems, SCADA, Smart Grid technologies, protective relays, and complex commissioning environments, BIC developed
into a trusted partner for critical utility infrastructure projects.
From the beginning, BIC Electric has focused on the work that matters most to grid reliability: substation construction, protection and control testing, apparatus testing, commissioning, telecommunications, fiber/SCADA integration, engineering support, project management, and emergency response.
